The Holly Springs Summer Work Crew Program is designed to give teens ages 14-16 the opportunity to get involved in their community, obtain valuable paid work experience, build resumes, and gain new skills and knowledge. Each year 24 people are selected to participate in one of two month-long sessions. The program is administered and operated by Bass Lake Park.
Participants will learn hands-on skills while participating in general park maintenance and select park projects. In addition, there will be opportunities for team-building, leadership development and community service projects with local businesses and non-profits.
Work hours are typically 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Pay is $4.25 (youth minimum wage) per hour with direct deposit every two weeks. The participant must have a checking or savings account in their name.
2020 Summer Work Crew application packages are accepted at Bass Lake Park Feb. 10 through April 3 at 5 p.m. All application packets must be received before 5 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Bass Lake Park.
